- What is a QR code?

- What is the difference between Static and Dynamic QR codes?
Static QR Codes never expire because the target URL is encoded in the QR Code and it will take to the redirected URL directly.
Dynamic QR Codes in your account will never expire, unless it will be deleted or your subscription has ended. In this case the target URL will redirect to an expired link.
- Will the QR code expire?
QR codes never expire. But depending on what QR code you have and what service you are using for the QR Code. With MenuSmile© once you get a QR code on with the 14 day trial your QR Code will be active, until the free trial is over. Before the free trial is over you need to make sure you pay your subscription fee via the link we sent. Otherwise your QR Code(s) link will be unavailable with your content.
- How can I order a QR code?
There are different plans depending on your needs. If you need one Dynamic QR Code. The Basic plan will work for you. You just need to contact us by choosing what template you want and sending us needed files.
- What size should my QR Code be?
The size of a QR code should be depending on where your QR Code will be used. So the size should be determined depending on the materials like flyers, billboards, table signs, outside signs, TV commercials, etc. With menuSmile© you don't have to worry about it. You will just tell us what you need it for and we will give you the correct one.
- What type of files can i upload in the QR Code?
In general we allow audio, video, image, pdf files or a link. Depending on what file you want you need to sign up for the correct plan.
There is a file limit for a videos which is up to 2 minutes.
If a longer video is need then you can contact us for custom pricing.
- Do my potential customers or guests need to download an app to scan the menu QR code?
No no app is required to scan and see the QR Code content. Anybody can scan and view your QR Code with any device.
- What happens to my QR codes once my trial period has ended?
Once your free 14 day trial is over. Your QR Code(s) link with your content will be unavailable for all. It will have an expired link. You need to make sure to pay your subscription fee before the free trial is over. We will send a link to pay to the email you have provided us. Your QR Code(s) link will be unavailable until you make the payment. You can always contact us if you never received the link, we can send one for you.
- How do I create a digital QR menu?
If you have a PDF of your menu, you send it to us and we will place it in the QR Code. If you want to choose one of our menu templates you can choose one and send us your menu text and images or example and we will make the template for you including in the subscription. This is available only when you have paid for the subscription.
- What happens to my QR codes once my trial period has ended?
You have access to a 14-day free trial for any of our plans when you sign up with menuSmile©. The QR code(s) you generated during the trial period will be inactive after it expires. By paying, you can keep the QR Code(s) active or reactivate them before the trial period ends.
- Can I customize my QR code?
After you have chose one of the QR Code templates designed by us, you can ask to make changes to the color and logo according to your brand. If you need further customization, you can check the customization option via this link and contact us to to let us know what customizations you want.
- How can I update my QR Code content? (Can I make changes to my content in the QR Code?)
When you need changes to the QR Code content like replacing the file, you can send it to us and we will replace it asap. <br> If you are using our menu template and we created it for you, then you can send us changes you need done in the menu and we will make the changes and replace it asap.
- Do I have to pay extra for multiple locations?
No, you can use your QR codes in any location you like. There are not limits to scans or locations.
- Do I have to install anything?
No you don't need to have any knowledge in technology or need to do anything on your side. We will handle everything you need.
- Can I publish to Google My Business?
Once you have your QR Code it is fully yours to publish anywhere you need or like.
- Can I change my subscription plan?
We have only two plans which depends on the file types you need. So you can just get a new plan for a new QR code. You can cancel your subscription for next billing year. But the current payment will not be returned.
